Feet!!

I bought new sewing feet today!! A binder foot, walking foot, 1/4" foot, free quilting/darning foot and also the "pack" came with a crafter foot... Yeah!!

Also, sewing together my impromptu disappearing nine patch... not sure if I like it but Miss Em does...!! Maybe I can get it done for One Project a Month!! Maybe... :0)

I am hoping to catch the Inauguration Tuesday! I have a 4th grade class (actually I think it is the entire 4th grade squeezing intot the room next door) watching the process!! I think I will be viewing it via the computer and sharing it with whatever class is my room at the time... No matter what the age this is a historic moment!

Disappearing nine patches....

Since I left early Thursday to get Miss Em from school (she was sick) then I left early Friday (caught whatever Em had!) and With the 6 inches of snow that fell Sat into Sun. We did nothing all weekend!! It was great!! we watched movies and sewed. I decided to work on a disappearing nine patch quilt very impromptu...

Of course I changed the layout and added a few more blocks. 

Then today came this package!! Weighing about 8.5 pounds! 

i had forgotten about the approx. 15 yards of scraps I had won from Some art fabric!! More pictures to come!!

Looking at the quilt....

So I put up a design wall (an old table cloth my Nana had).... This is the start of the Sponge Bob Quilt....

It's a Snow Day!!

It's a snow day!! So Miss Em and I slept in a little, shampooed the living room rugs, cleaned and drum roll........ I am attempting to organize my fabric! I found stuff I never knew I had!! Pictures to come!!

Good Buys and DD Mystery Progress

Ok so I went to my local Marden's !! Deals on fabric!! I love this place!! Bolts and Bolts of good fabric way discounted because they buy surplus!! The most expensive was 3.99 a yard!!


I walked away spending close to 75.00 on fabric but 24.00 was 8 yards of this!!It has little flip flops all over!! Perfect for Miss Em's Quilt!! It will be used as a backing !! And a little extra for mess ups or what not!! I bought a lot because you never know if you will ever see it again!!

This is just a little more of some fabric i bought between Marden's and Joanns

I am envisioning a quilt of some kind but not sure....

Then we have my progress on the DD Mystery Quilt... was not sure if I liked the rust colored fabric in place of the Cheddar but I did peek at steps 2, 3 , 4 and put them all together and do like the combo!!

At Joann's I also picked up 3 of these on clearance Cinderella, Princesses and Little Mermaid fabric books.

and this on clearance!! Em loves Prates for some reason and I thought I would make her this....

Wow!! So, right before Christmas I get 2 emails!! 1 saying I won some fabric strips from here )fabric strips) and then another saying I won 2nd prize over here at Ciada Daydream ( I won 8" charm pack of her new fabric line!!). I never win !! What a Christmas present!! Then I had entered another blog giveaway over here and received the email last night that I was the winner!!
